I’m in Manchester now, and I can hear the sirens. Not sure what to think of all the rioting, Reverend and The Makers have just released a song sympathetic to the ideals of the rioters, but I must say I have to agree with this pic more than them. The news is pissing me off though, all I can see on the bbc is the glamorisation of a conservative perspective: These anarchist youths are ruining it for everyone. there’s a point, but a little perpspective might be nice. Perhaps there is a little justification in being pissed off at the world, especially such a consumerist one like ours.

plus, a little drinking game for you: every time you see a jjb sports bag, take a swig. Not sure why channel 4 was focusing on jjb last night, maybe to point out the pettiness of the swag. 

It may be sad to realise immediately that I was there, but I was. It was awesome. He finished with True Love Waits. Epic

I’ll start with a classic Cat Stevens song. One of those few musicians about whom, you really feel that the world would be better if everyone liked. 

Saying that, I must admit I hate people who suggest that the world would be better if everyone liked X thing that said person likes. 

Then again, Cat Stevens is pretty awesome. I’m also obsessed with Radiohead, so starting off with Cat is a declaration that I’m in to accessible music too. 

I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

I’ll take this opportunity to bid farewell to all that productive free time that I had thought about.
